Description OVERVIEW : The Senior Immigration Consultant is an experienced legal delivery professional responsible for casework, daily client support, and operational coordination across small to mid‑sized immigration programs. Reporting to an Associate or Senior Associate, this role combines high‑volume case production with increased responsibility for program stability, client relationship management, and peer support. The Senior Consultant acts as a tactical liaison between clients, HR representatives, and internal legal teams— maintaining client trackers and reviewing reports and identifying recurring issues that could affect program timelines or stability. This role demonstrates autonomy in managing and providing recommendations to improve established workflows, applies judgment in identifying exceptions, and escalates issues proactively. The Senior Consultant also facilitates onboarding and ongoing training for Immigration Consultant team members and supports program monitoring through reporting, quality control, and issue identification at an advanced level. In addition to case preparation, the Senior Consultant conducts initial assessments, gathers documentation, drafts forms and support letters, coordinates with government agencies, and ensures accurate, compliant case records. They maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of immigration processes, contribute to process improvements, and help ensure consistent service delivery across assigned programs. Time is allocated primarily to care preparation and client engagement (75%), operational coordination, reporting, and program management (20%), and team support, mentorship, and quality review (5%). Success in the role is demonstrated through case accuracy, proactive program coordination, strong client communication, effective workflow management, and the ability to mentor team members to enhance overall service delivery. ________________________________________________________________________________ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Supports daily operations for small to mid‑sized immigration programs, ensuring consistent delivery aligned with client expectations. Serves as a tactical liaison between clients, HR representatives, and internal teams, providing updates on case progress, timelines, reporting, and coordination needs. Supports the development and creation or program protocols and supports the training roll out. Responds to escalations and recurring client concerns with professionalism and urgency. Facilitates onboarding and ongoing training for Immigration Consultant team members on workflows, delivery standards, and system updates. Demonstrates autonomy in managing standard workflows and applies judgment in identifying and escalating exceptions. Anticipates potential issues and supports proactive resolution to maintain program stability. Contributes to current‑state program management by maintaining structure, visibility, and responsiveness across all touchpoints. Supports reporting needs for small to mid-sized immigration programs in collaboration with attorneys. Serves as the primary point of contact for routine client communications, ensuring timely and professional responses to inquiries and updates. Manages case production including initiating, assessing, preparing, assembling, and filing high‑volume immigration filings using established templates and proprietary tools. Performs administrative duties including scanning, filing, and document management for complex immigration petitions. Maintains accurate and complete case records, ensuring data integrity and responsiveness to client and attorney requests. Utilizes reports and dashboards to prioritize high volumes of work effectively to meet deadlines. Conducts and supports case assessments and gathers required documentation from clients, including forms, supporting evidence, and biographical information. Drafts immigration forms and support letters for a broad set of case types, including H‑1B, TN, L‑1, I‑140, AOS, PERM, and complex writing projects. Coordinates with government agencies (e.g., USCIS, DOL, DOS) to track case status, respond to RFEs, and monitor deadlines. Ensures compliance and updates internal procedures as needed following changes to immigration law and policy. Participates in internal training programs and contributes to process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and service quality. _____________________________________________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities: Case Accuracy & Compliance: Produces accurate, compliant, and timely casework across complex, high‑volume immigration filings. Coaching & Quality Support: Provides real‑time feedback, guidance, and workflow support to Immigration Consultant team members. Issue Identification & Escalation: Recognizes recurring problems and communicates potential solutions proactively to attorneys and legal support leadership. Subject Matter Mastery: Demonstrates advanced knowledge of primary product areas including H‑1B, TN, L‑1, I‑140, AOS, PERM, and complex RFEs, with foundational paralegal knowledge of NIWs, O‑1s, and other lower‑volume case types. Client Communication: Maintains clear, professional, and timely communication with clients and HR partners. Time & Workflow Management: Prioritizes competing deadlines using reporting tools and dashboards. Team Collaboration: Works effectively across teams to support consistent program delivery and case outcomes. Professional Judgment: Applies discretion and sound judgment in handling exceptions and identifying when to escalate. Process Adherence: Follows established workflows and supports continuous improvement efforts. Minimum Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree; OR · 5–7 years of business immigration experience; OR · A combination of education and experience that together demonstrates readiness for the role. Candidates may qualify through multiple pathways. A bachelor’s degree paired with fewer than 5–7 years of experience may be sufficient, as may extensive, relevant business immigration experience in lieu of a degree.
