Leverage firsthand plant experience and established relationships with suppliers and carriers to proactively manage supply risks, influence performance, and resolve constraints. Lead the onboarding of plants into standardized inbound planning processes and SAP/MRP adoption, ensuring solutions are practical and aligned with real-world operations. Provide guidance and challenge plant assumptions regarding material demand, usage, and constraints based on data and operational insight. Advanced Inventory & Supply Optimization Partner with global teams to develop and refine inventory strategies, such as safety stock, that account for plant consumption variability, furnace operations, and raw material constraints. Continuously optimize inbound logistics, including rail/truck scheduling, to minimize total landed cost and operational disruption. Cross-Functional Expertise & Team Development Mentor and upskill other planners by sharing deep knowledge of plant operations, material consumption, and physical process constraints.
