Position Summary The Senior Instructor, Mariner Academy - CCC, plays a critical role in delivering enterprise-wide Client Centered Communication (CCC) training rooted in Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. As the principal facilitator, this position supports the professional growth of financial professionals and leaders by building trust-building and client engagement skills across all business units and experience levels. The Senior Instructor ensures every cohort receives consistent, high-quality, evidence-based communication instruction. In addition to leading live training sessions, this role may provide 1:1 coaching and leverage AI tools for transcript coding to extend Mariner Academy’s coaching reach as the program scales. The Senior Instructor closely collaborates with team members and stakeholders to uphold standardized assessment tracking and measure progress against established CCC competency metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate live MI-based CCC training for beginner, intermediate, and advanced cohorts of financial professionals and leaders. Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction that fosters measurable CCC competency. Support 1:1 CCC coaching sessions as needed, reinforcing practical skill application. Code coaching transcripts using AI-enabled tools to enable scalable performance evaluation. Partner with enterprise stakeholders to ensure assessment tracking aligns with minimum CCC competency metrics. Evaluate participant performance and deliver targeted feedback to support skill mastery. Adjust facilitation techniques to suit varying audience seniority, from junior advisors to senior leaders. Collaborate with Learning Experience Managers to synchronize training delivery with cohort scheduling and milestones. Contribute to ongoing improvements in CCC training content and materials. Lead in-person or virtual training sessions as needed to ensure quality delivery enterprise-wide. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Demonstrated experience facilitating MI skills-based training with professional audiences Preferred Education and Experience Membership in the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) 1:1 Motivational Interviewing coaching experience Motivational Interviewing coding expertise Background in a finance-related field or experience training business or leadership professionals Skills Motivational Interviewing facilitation Adult learning facilitation Performance feedback and coaching Technology fluency and adaptability Audience adaptability Cross-functional collaboration Self-directed execution Executive presence and communication We welcome your interest in being a part of our firm.
