Senior iOS Engineer

Senior iOS Engineer NoA Ignite is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join a cross-functional team building a mobile banking application from the ground up for one of Sweden's major banks. The app serves personal, business, and youth client segments — this is the kind of project where the quality of your work lands in the hands of hundreds of thousands of users. Role Overview You'll be a core engineer on a distributed team, taking ownership of significant features end-to-end: from technical design and implementation through code review and production hardening. You'll contribute to architectural decisions across the iOS codebase and work closely with backend engineers, designers, QA, and the client's product and business organization. As the team scales, you'll also mentor more junior engineers. Key Responsibilities You own features from conception to production, writing high-quality Swift/SwiftUI code in a codebase built for scale. You participate in architectural discussions and push for pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions. You collaborate in English with a distributed team, contribute to code reviews, and maintain the engineering standards — code quality, security awareness, testing, observability, and release management — that regulated banking software demands. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional iOS development, with at least one App Store app where you owned significant portions Expert-level Swift, strong SwiftUI and UIKit, modern concurrency (async/await, Combine) Solid architectural grounding (MVVM or similar), REST/GraphQL integration, unit and UI testing with XCTest Experience with Git, trunk-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar. Comfortable working with agentic coding workflows Professional fluency in English; eligible to work in Sweden Nice to Have Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries (PSD2, strong customer authentication, KYC) Familiarity with multi-brand or multi-segment app architectures Knowledge of mobile security best practices, feature flagging, A/B testing, or large codebase modularization App Store release automation experience Who We're Looking For You're a senior engineer who takes pride in craft but stays pragmatic under pressure.
