Senior iOS Engineer / iOS Architect

About the role At Globant, we are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer / iOS Architect to join a high-impact mobile engineering team building and evolving applications used by millions of users. You will work on a large-scale iOS ecosystem, combining modern development practices with the progressive modernization of existing applications. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable solutions, and helping teams make strong architectural decisions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced iOS professional who is comfortable working with both modern Swift technologies and legacy codebases , and who can contribute beyond feature development by influencing architecture, performance, quality, and engineering practices. What you’ll do Design, develop, and evolve large-scale iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit . Drive the gradual modernization of legacy components while maintaining stability and business continuity. Define and implement scalable solutions following MVVM and Clean Architecture principles. Work with repositories, use cases, coordinators, routing, and dependency injection. Build reliable asynchronous flows using modern Swift concurrency, including async/await, actors, task cancellation, and @MainActor . Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and BFF services . Improve application performance, memory usage, SwiftUI rendering, and overall user experience. Develop and maintain automated testing strategies across unit, integration, UI, and snapshot testing. Collaborate with globally distributed Product, Design, QA, Backend, and Engineering teams. Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and continuous improvement. What will help you succeed Strong hands-on experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit , including interoperability with Objective-C. Solid understanding of modern Swift concurrency. Experience working with large-scale iOS applications and progressively migrating legacy code. Strong knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, coordinators, and routing patterns . Experience integrating REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and BFF services . Hands-on experience with unit, integration, UI, and snapshot testing . Strong understanding of mobile performance, memory management, rendering, and asynchronous debugging . Knowledge of accessibility practices including VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, localization, and design systems . Experience with Tuist, Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, XcodeBuild, and CI/CD pipelines . Familiarity with production observability, including analytics, logging, crash reporting, tracing, and monitoring . Experience managing feature flags, multiple environments, code signing, and TestFlight . Advanced English communication skills and experience collaborating with global teams.
