Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Labour Relations Specialist on a permanent basis. We are seeking a strategic negotiator who thrives in ambiguity, thinks creatively, and can confidently balance priorities in a fast-moving landscape. This role is primarily remote, with approximately 20% travel across Saskatchewan. While the preferred location is Saskatchewan, candidates in Alberta or Manitoba may be considered for the right fit. What you’ll do: Lead collective bargaining negotiations by serving as management’s chief spokesperson, developing mandates, presenting proposals, and securing agreement approvals. Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, HR teams, and business stakeholders to align bargaining strategies with organizational priorities and market trends. Analyze bargaining outcomes, maintain detailed negotiation records, and identify opportunities to improve future labour relations strategies. Support business continuity planning by assisting with labour negotiations and preparing for potential work stoppages. Who you’ll work with: You will report to the Senior Manager, Labour Relations as part of a team of four. As one of three Senior Labour Relations Specialists, you will support a portfolio of local Co-ops and work closely with internal teams including Total Rewards, Employee Experience, and HR Business Partnering. Who you are: You are looking for a career in labour relations and : Have a minimum of 6-9 years of experience as a Labour Relations Advisor within a complex, multi-union environment. Hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Labour Studies, Human Resources, or Commerce (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Have planned collective bargaining negotiations, acting as the Lead Negotiator in a multi-employer environment with multiple stakeholders, including successfully advancing bargaining strategies and outcomes. Are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications with a proven ability to embrace emerging technologies and digital environments. Are adaptable to navigate a complex schedule and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
