We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer with hands-on experience from SmartCenter environments and deep expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Edge Computing. The consultant will play a key role in developing and deploying advanced ML/AI solutions across a global manufacturing footprint.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical capabilities with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across engineering, operations technology, manufacturing, and leadership teams.
Main Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy ML and AI models supporting SmartCenter initiatives.
Build and optimize computer vision solutions for industrial environments, including real-time image and video processing.
Develop edge computing architectures enabling low-latency inference at production sites.
Collaborate with operations technology, IoT, and software engineering teams to integrate ML solutions into existing manufacturing systems.
Work closely with stakeholders across regions to understand business needs and translate them into scalable ML/AI solutions.
Ensure robustness, reliability, and security of ML pipelines in distributed industrial settings.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support continuous improvement of the digital and AI strategy within SmartCenter.
Key Requirements
Extensive experience as a Machine Learning Engineer in industrial or SmartCenter-like environments.
Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI, and modern ML frameworks.
Proven experience with computer vision (image classification, object detection, video analytics).
Hands-on experience with edge computing and deploying ML models on distributed hardware.
Solid understanding of operations technology/IoT environments and industrial data flows.
Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex technical environments.
Other Details
Remote work is possible. The consultant must be available for on-site work when required. The expected start date is approximately 1 October 2026 for a duration of 6–12 months with an option for extension.
