The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA. ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM The Portfolio Architect is a pivotal role focused on shaping the technical landscape of products designed within a portfolio. This role is essential for collaborating with technical owners across product teams to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of transport industry. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Portfolio-Level Tech Strategy : Work with CTO to define and lead the technical strategy for the portfolio, specializing in products for planning and management. Collaborate with product team technical owners to align strategies with operational goals AI & Data Strategy Integration: Define and drive the integration of AI and data capabilities across the portfolio, including predictive analytics, machine learning models, and data-driven decision support for airport operations Technical Documentation : Develop comprehensive technical documentation at the portfolio level, including detailed product/service interaction overviews and data flows tailored to airport operations requirements. Key Design Decisions : Represent critical design decisions at the Software Design Authority (SDA) specific to airport operations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. Portfolio Change Assessment : Evaluate and provide technical insights into the portfolio's change funnel, focusing on optimizing products for planning, scheduling, resource management, and operational efficiency. Product-Level Collaboration : Collaborate closely with product teams to influence and contribute to product-level design decisions, technical design documents, and effective management of technical debt within portfolio. Security and Compliance : Lead efforts in product-level threat modelling and security workbooks, ensuring robust security measures are implemented across airport operation systems. Collaborate with EISO and security domain architects to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Mergers and Acquisitions : Contribute to technical assessments for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment of the portfolio's products with evolving industry standards and compatibility with existing systems Qualifications ABOUT YOUR SKILLS: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in architecting solutions, with experience in cloud-based technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of container-based architectures, such as Kubernetes, is a plus. Expertise in architecture and solutions surrounding analytics and machine learning. Cloud and Container Skills: Proficiency in architecting cloud-based solutions, with a preference for experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience in architecting solutions based on containers, particularly Kubernetes, for scalable and efficient messaging systems. Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of excellent stakeholder management within the airport and airline industry, understanding diverse stakeholder needs and effectively communicating technical concepts. Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills to convey complex technical ideas and solutions to non-technical stakeholders within the airport domain. Collaboration Skills: Strong collaborative skills to work closely with product teams, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams to drive effective solutions tailored to airport needs. AI & Machine Learning Expertise: Strong understanding of machine learning approaches (predictive models, time-series forecasting, optimisation techniques) and their application in operational environments. Data Platforms & Engineering: Experience designing modern data platforms (e.g., data lakes, lakehouse architectures, streaming pipelines) and working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets. NICE-TO-HAVE Industry Knowledge: Broad functional understanding of airport business capabilities Borders Domain Expertise : Understanding of border management solutions, including passenger processing, biometrics, identity management, and risk-based screening in government or aviation environments.
