Senior Manager - Asset Management

Job Description This is a remote position. Purpose of the role: Your primary focus will be to drive the strategic direction for our customer group, airlines and lessor markets, optimise asset management processes, and enhance both employee and customer experiences. You will design and implement solutions that contribute to business success and build the team’s capabilities to meet current and future customer needs. Team: Asset Management is an integral part of our Engineering Services. This role sits within the Engineering Services Team (EST) and reports to the VP of Engineering Services. You will lead a team of over 50 professionals and be responsible for fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. Work arrangement: Because we are more interested in what you bring to our team than where you are located, you can work from anywhere in India. There will also be business travel required to customer sites, industry events or to visit members of the team at our collaborative workspaces which will be close to 5-7 working days in a month. While we encourage you to work from our coworking hub or satellite office if you wish to. Who will you be working with? This exciting Asset Management role leads a team of engineering experts dedicated to enabling diverse customer groups. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, People, Commercial, Finance, Product, and Business Intelligence teams to enhance our asset management model. Engineering Services Team: On a day-to-day basis partnering, your key customer groups include Team Leaders / Project Leads, working on various projects globally, training manager to foster further development of the team, demand planning for further resources management, and partnering with ecosystem for further development of the organisation. Customer Group: Engage with current customers (airline partners) for on-going and futuristic opportunities Organisational Leaders: Collaborate with organisational leaders to understand business goals, challenges, and strategic initiatives and enable the Asset Management framework to create business success. Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate a clear vision for Asset Management (AM), aligning it with company goals and driving continuous improvement. 2. Product Management: Lead the development of AM products and services, ensuring alignment with customer needs and incorporating industry best practices. 3. Agile Project Management: Implement Agile methodologies within the AM team to ensure efficient project delivery and alignment with business objectives. 4. Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives to support organisational growth and drive change in AM processes, ensuring successful market delivery. 5. Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing AM team, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing capabilities. 6. Resource & Risk Management: Optimise resource allocation and mitigate risks to ensure AM efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and successful project outcomes. Requirements What are we looking for? We seek a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of asset management, ideally from aviation industry, and the ability to align the team with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have: Industry Experience: 10+ years in aviation asset management or technical services, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Expertise in asset lifecycle management, lease agreements, redelivery processes, and audits is essential. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field ideally in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering. Professional certifications such as ISTAT, CFA, CAMA are preferred. Technical Skills: Expertise in aircraft maintenance and asset condition assessments, complemented by practical experience in on-site project management for end-of-life (EoL) processes, acquisitions, mergers, repossessions, and bankruptcy proceedings involving assets. Financial Acumen: Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting related to asset lifecycle costs and optimisation. Solid understanding of Maintenance Reserves, Forecast Assessments and Aircraft Appraisals. Leadership and Project Management: Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage projects focused on cost efficiency, process improvement, and quality assurance. Strategic and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset for managing asset performance and navigating complex negotiations. Power Skills: A customer-centric approach, exceptional collaboration skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and continuous learning attitude. 30-, 60-, 90-, and 180-Days Goals: 30 Days: Onboard and familiarise yourself with the team, current asset management processes, and key stakeholders. Develop a deep understanding of current customer needs and organisational goals. Begin building relationships with internal and external teams to understand their expectations and needs. 60 Days: Assess the current asset management model and identify areas for improvement. Begin defining strategic objectives for asset management, aligned with company goals and OKRs. Start leading key initiatives to enhance team capabilities and customer satisfaction. 90 Days: Implement initial improvements to the asset management model. Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for asset management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to start executing on customer-led solutions. 180 Days: Drive transformation within the AM team, implementing changes to optimise resource allocation and improve processes. Ensure alignment of the AM framework with broader business goals, leading to measurable improvements in customer and team performance. Evaluate and adjust the asset management strategy to address emerging business needs and industry trends
