POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for defining how PDI's business, brand, product, and campaign priorities come to life through content across high-priority touchpoints, including owned digital and social channels, paid media, events, thought leadership, and more. This role will bring a company-wide perspective and content best practices to determine the right stories, formats, channels, products, expertise, and people to engage audiences, strengthen our positioning, and demonstrate the full value PDI delivers. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications, this role will own and evolve our enterprise content strategy and the development of high-quality assets, from big-picture vision through content creation. Working from business priorities established in close partnership with Marketing and other stakeholders, this role will determine how and where stories should be told and partner cross-functionally to bring the strategy through activation and execution. This is an opportunity to lead the evolution of content from a set of channel-specific activities into an integrated, performance-driven discipline. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Translate PDI business priorities into a comprehensive enterprise content strategy and corresponding creative assets. Determine the content, formats, and channels that will most effectively reach and engage target audiences, creating a cohesive experience across PDI touchpoints including website, social, events, paid media, and thought leadership. Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to align on objectives and inputs, then lead the content and storytelling approach needed to bring those priorities to life. Define and implement a content performance framework, including KPIs, measurement strategies, and optimization processes to improve effectiveness across channels. Identify and address gaps in content and channel strategy, driving greater cohesion, efficiency, and impact across the organization. Champion audience-first thinking, ensuring content is relevant, differentiated, and tailored to key customer segments and decision-makers, including consideration of generative AI-driven discovery and influence. Build strong cross-functional partnerships that enable content strategy and assets to move efficiently from development through activation and scale across the organization. Identify and implement opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance content strategy, streamline production workflows, and improve personalization, scalability, and performance across channels. Stay informed on content, social media, search, and platform trends, applying insights to strengthen channel and storytelling decisions. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Move from an asset production model to a commercial content engine (so that content is an asset not an output) by creating a strategic content engine that drives greater reuse, stronger engagement, improved conversion, and more consistent market positioning. % of priority products with complete content toolkit. Content utilization by sales/field teams. Engagement (downloads, page views, email CTR). QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: • Bachelor’s degree –Journalism or Marketing related field a plus. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Comprehensive knowledge of content strategy, content development, editorial planning, and integrated storytelling principles. Strong knowledge of digital, social, paid, web, event, and other content distribution channels and best practices. Strong knowledge of audience segmentation, customer journeys, and audience-first content principles. Knowledge of content performance measurement, KPIs, testing, and optimization practices. Current knowledge of SEO, AI search/AISEO, and evolving search and content-discovery practices. Working knowledge of AI-enabled content tools and emerging marketing technologies. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 7-10 years of experience in content strategy, content development, editorial, marketing or related disciplines; B2B experience is a plus. Experience leading cross-channel content strategies within complex, matrixed organizations. Proven success in transforming content into a strategic business driver, not just an output. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong ability to translate business priorities into clear, compelling narratives, storytelling approaches, and content assets. Ability to determine the most effective channels, formats, and content approaches based on business priorities and target audiences. Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with ability to use data to inform content strategy and optimization. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels. WORKING CONDITIONS Corporate Office Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
