Position Summary The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy & Merchant Partnerships plays a critical role in helping drive Front Store business performance through close partnership with Merchandising teams. This individual serves as a strategic thought partner to merchants, providing data-driven insights and recommendations that support category growth, competitive positioning, customer value, and financial performance. This role balances category pricing strategy, business analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong retail experience, an ability to influence decisions across diverse stakeholder groups, and a proven track record of translating data into actionable business recommendations. They are comfortable working across both business and technical teams, helping ensure merchants can effectively leverage pricing tools, analytics, and evolving capabilities to support category objectives. This role can be performed remotely within the United States. Candidates should be comfortable regularly partnering with teams operating in EST hours. Key Responsibilities: Partner closely with Merchandising teams to support category strategy, business planning, and pricing decisions. Develop recommendations that balance customer value, competitive positioning, sales growth, and margin objectives. Analyze business performance, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks. Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for merchant and business leaders. Support pricing strategies across assigned categories, including everyday pricing, promotional considerations, key item competitiveness, and category positioning. Influence cross-functional stakeholders and build alignment without direct ownership of all decisions or outcomes. Collaborate with Analytics, Product, Technology, and Pricing teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and tool enhancements. Help translate merchant needs and business requirements into actionable recommendations for technical and analytics partners. Monitor category performance and provide recommendations to improve business results. Support adoption and ongoing utilization of pricing tools, reporting capabilities, and new business processes. Present analyses, recommendations, and business updates to leadership audiences. Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, category analytics, retail pricing, promotional strategy, assortment planning, commercial strategy, or related fields Experience partnering directly with Merchandising, Category Management, or other commercial business teams Strong understanding of retail business drivers, pricing dynamics, promotions, and category performance management Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate insights that drive business decisions and measurable results Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions without direct authority Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex information for business audiences Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business, analytics, and technology partners Experience managing projects, priorities, and competing business needs in a fast-paced environment Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience working with large datasets Prior people leadership experience or demonstrated success leading and developing teams Ability to work EST business hours regardless of location Preferred Qualifications Experience in drugstore, mass retail, grocery, convenience, or other large-scale retail environments Background in retail pricing, category analytics, merchandising analytics, promotional strategy, assortment planning, or category management Experience using SQL, BI tools, or other reporting and analytical platforms Experience helping implement business tools, technology solutions, or process improvements Experience partnering with Product, Technology, Data, or Analytics teams to support business initiatives Familiarity with pricing methodologies, customer insights, forecasting, or retail performance metrics Experience supporting retail transformation, pricing modernization, or strategic business initiatives MBA or equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
