Summary
Full-time. Remote, US-based with 9am to 5pm ET overlap.
You carry 5 to 10 paid social accounts and lead the larger ones end to end: strategy, execution, the bi-weekly client call, and the relationship.
When performance softens, you open the account, read the data, and come back with angles, a new persona, and a funnel hypothesis you want tested. Then you build it yourself. If the part you like is finding the problem before anyone hands you a brief, this seat will suit you.
What you’ll own
The book. 5 to 10 clients, primarily ecommerce. One or two run $500k+ per month; the rest range from roughly $25k to $100k. You are the strategy and execution lead on every account you own, and you support on the rest.
The relationship. You will lead recurring client calls and act as the day-to-day liaison between the client and internal teams. You are who the client talks to. You’ll have a team behind you, but the account is yours.
The creative direction. You brief the creative strategist, review new creative before it ships, and hold the bar on quality. You’re not afraid to think outside the box, source new creators or creatives, and do whatever it takes to deliver high-performing ads.
The funnel. We put heavy emphasis on acquisition funnels, advertorials, listicles, and landing pages. You drive that work and judge the output.
The numbers. You are comfortable owning and scaling a $500k+ per month account, and just as comfortable making $10k a month work.
What you do not own. Creative production and the measurement stack. You direct creative and you interpret the data; the creative department and the analytics function own them.
What we’re looking for
Experience
- 5 to 7+ years managing paid social, with a track record on Meta specifically
- 3 to 5+ years client-facing, owning relationships and client calls. Not a hard floor for the right operator.
- Managed at least one $500,000+ per month ad account alongside a book of smaller ones
- Fluency in Meta Ads Manager and a creative analytics platform
Skills
- You design the strategy and then you build it. Both halves, on the same accounts.
- You can tell a client what the data means, how it is tracking against the strategy, and what happens next.
- You know how to highlight good news, and you know how to communicate through bad performance without losing the room.
- You know good copy on sight and can say why it works. Writing it yourself is optional.
- You have a real point of view on UI/UX, especially for Meta acquisition funnels. Design skills are a bonus.
- You reason from what the account is actually doing. When performance drops, you workshop angles and personas out of the data, then hand the creative strategist a written brief.
Nice to haves
- You have built advertorials, listicles, or acquisition funnels
- AI design and copy tooling in a production workflow
- Affiliate, creator, or partnership ads experience
- Working knowledge of other paid channels. We are Meta-focused today, but breadth helps.
Tools we use
Meta Ads Manager
- Triple Whale or Northbeam (MTA)
- Motion or Adnova (creative analytics)
- Haus, Workmagic or Prescient (MMM)
- Figma or Canva
- Frame.io
- Notion
Who you work with
- Creative department: a creative strategist, graphic designer, and video editor.
- Affiliate manager, sourcing affiliates and creators for partnership ads on select accounts.
- Paid media support specialist, assisting with ad build and upload. You still execute.
- Copywriters, including landing page specialists, when an account needs more copy.
- Senior Director, Paid Social, your escalation path and sparring partner.
- Director of Emerging Channels and Director of Paid Search, so you can scale Meta alongside TikTok and Search.
Your first 90 days
Days 1 to 30. Onboard, audit the current accounts, meet the team, learn the tooling, and how we brief creative. Begin shadowing on existing accounts.
Days 31 to 60. Take over 1 to 2 clients as the lead. Own the bi-weekly calls, the strategy, the next set of tests, and the implementation on those accounts.
Days 61 to 90. Take on your full book as new clients onboard, leading the larger accounts and supporting the smaller ones.
