Bolton Clarke Residential group now has 88 Aged Care Homes across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA, with the inclusion of the Allity, McKenzie & Acacia Living Group. About the opportunity Join Bolton Clarke in a newly created role supporting the organisation’s public advocacy, government relations and policy agenda. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to monitor policy and regulatory change, develop high-quality advocacy materials, coordinate external engagement and help position Bolton Clarke as a trusted voice across aged care, healthcare and social services. Key activities Support public policy, advocacy and external relations strategies aligned to organisational priorities. Monitor political, regulatory and sector developments impacting aged care, healthcare and social services. Prepare submissions, briefing notes, position papers, consultation responses and advocacy materials. Build and maintain relationships with government, regulators, industry bodies and key external stakeholders. Coordinate stakeholder engagement, meetings, briefs and follow-up actions with senior leaders. Support evidence-based policy development through research, analysis and internal consultation. About you A strategic and politically astute policy, government relations or public affairs professional with strong judgement, exceptional writing capability and the confidence to engage senior leaders and external stakeholders. You bring a strong understanding of policy processes, reform environments and regulated sectors, ideally within health, aged care or community services. We would love to hear from you if you have: Senior experience in policy, government relations, public affairs, advocacy or stakeholder engagement. Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality submissions, briefing papers and policy analysis. Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government, regulators, industry and internal leadership groups. Sound understanding of policy, legislative and regulatory environments affecting complex service organisations. Strong research, communication, influence and judgement skills, with resilience in a fast-moving environment. Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, law, economics, communications, business or a related field.
