Senior Market Research Analys

Role Description The Senior Market Research Analyst is a part-time, remote role responsible for delivering data-driven insights that inform programs and services for entrepreneurs. Day-to-day tasks include designing and conducting market research studies, gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and interpreting trends that affect small business development. The role involves preparing clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to leadership, program staff, and partners. The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify information needs, support strategic planning, and recommend opportunities to improve training, counseling, and technical assistance offerings. This position also supports ongoing evaluation of program outcomes and provides guidance on metrics and methodologies that strengthen decision-making.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Research skills to design studies, collect data, and generate actionable insights.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills and proficiency in Statistics to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decisions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings in clear, accessible formats for diverse audiences.
• Experience with survey tools, data visualization platforms, and spreadsheet or statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, or similar) is beneficial.
• Background in economics, business, social sciences, data analytics, or a related field, with prior experience in market or program evaluation research, is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and collaborate respectfully with colleagues and community partners.
• Knowledge of small business ecosystems, entrepreneurial support services, or nonprofit program evaluation is a plus.
