We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of complex projects, with a particular focus on Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and mission-critical facilities. The role offers the opportunity to lead technical activities, mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) from concept design through construction and project completion. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, drawings and design documentation. Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with other disciplines, ensuring seamless integration across projects. Manage project deliverables, budgets and schedules while maintaining the highest technical standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development. Attend client meetings and participate in technical discussions, presenting engineering solutions and recommendations. Support business development activities, including bids, tenders and proposal preparation. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, sustainability standards and industry best practices. Contribute to innovation initiatives and continuously seek improvements in engineering design processes. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Fluent in Italian and English. Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical building services engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment. Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems design. Proven experience delivering complex multidisciplinary projects. Experience in Data Centres, Critical Facilities, Healthcare, or other highly complex engineering projects will be particularly valued. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows. Strong understanding of relevant Italian and international codes, standards and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience coordinating teams and mentoring junior engineers. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Professional registration, Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional qualification would be considered an advantage.
