About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft System Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise IT environment. You will play a key role in the administration, optimization, automation and continuous improvement of the Microsoft infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security and operational excellence. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset and the ability to operate within complex enterprise environments supporting more than 1,000 users. Your Responsibilities Administer, maintain and continuously improve enterprise Microsoft server environments. Install, configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure (Windows Server 2016 and newer). Perform server patching, lifecycle management and infrastructure updates. Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including users, groups, permissions and security policies. Support and further develop enterprise identity and access management solutions. Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments. Manage and operate ADFS and/or Okta authentication services. Implement and integrate Microsoft System Center solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Develop, maintain and optimize PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency. Analyse system, application and event logs to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Participate in infrastructure projects, platform improvements and technology upgrades. Document system changes, operational procedures and technical implementations. Work according to ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management. Contribute to the strategic evolution and modernization of the enterprise infrastructure. Required Qualifications Professional Experience Several years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft System Engineer within complex enterprise environments. Proven experience supporting enterprise infrastructures with more than 1,000 users. Senior or Expert level with demonstrated technical leadership and deep infrastructure expertise. Technical Skills Microsoft Infrastructure Strong expertise with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer. Excellent knowledge of enterprise server security best practices. Extensive experience with server installation, configuration, patching and update management. Advanced administration of Microsoft Active Directory. Strong understanding of Microsoft’s Tiering Model (Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2). Experience with Microsoft Entra ID administration. Experience administering ADFS and/or Okta environments. Endpoint & Systems Management Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Experience with Microsoft System Center solutions. Experience with Ansible is considered a strong advantage. Identity & Access Management Experience with enterprise Identity Management solutions. Knowledge of Omada and Adaxes is highly desirable. Automation Strong PowerShell scripting skills. Experience developing automation solutions for operational efficiency. Operations Experience analysing system logs, event logs and infrastructure troubleshooting. Solid understanding of ITIL operational processes. Experience documenting infrastructure changes and operational procedures. Experience contributing to infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives. Qualifications Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in large enterprise environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. English language skills at B2/C1 level are considered an advantage.
