We create proofs-of-concept, help our clients build new products, nurture existing ones and provide services in production environments. Our clients include both tech startups and big players in various industries and geographic locations (US, Japan, Israel, Europe). Team up to win. The project and the team The project and the team As our business grows, we want to onboard qualified managers to lead our teams in delivering solutions to our customers. You will be working on challenging projects developing solutions for our clients. The customer may be one of the big vendors or it can be a startup aiming to disturb the biggest players in the observability business. What else you should know: We keep our project teams consisting of less than 15 people We use Agile methodology The customer is often a company with headquarters in Silicon Valley We work hybrid or fully remote We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it. Your role We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our projects within any of the following areas: Network, Observability, Quality Assurance etc. You need to have a technical background and understand the domain, but we do not expect you to code. You also need to have experience in people management. As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for: Discussing high and low level technical, and business requirements with clients Facilitating or taking an active part in architectural discussions Making sure the team has all the things they need, to deliver their work in an efficient manner Shaping the team according to project needs and company culture Monitoring project progress, identifying and managing project risks Making proper decisions together with client and technical leaders, who report to you Participating in company processes: hiring, onboarding, employee development process etc. Do we have a match? As an Engineering Manager you must meet the following criteria: 7 years of experience in the domain and at least 4 in the manager position; Hands-on experience and a proven track record in a technical field (we do not need you to code, but understanding the things you manage is important) Experience and understanding of at least two of: software development, IT infrastructure, Clouds, CI/CD Knowledge of computer networks Experience in managing teams and individuals: guiding career paths, performance evaluation, solving conflicts, facilitating meetings Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal (C1 level minimum) Experience working in Agile environments and projects Experience in fixed-price and time & materials projects Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate: Proven familiarity with at least one of the following methodologies: PMI, SAFe, Scrum, Prince2 More reasons to join us Flexible working hours and approach to work: fully remotely, in the office or hybrid Professional growth supported by internal training sessions and a training budget Solid onboarding with a hands-on approach to give you an easy start A great atmosphere among professionals who are passionate about their work The ability to change the project you work on Department Observability Division Locations Poland, Warsaw Remote status Fully Remote Level Senior, Mid
