Join Equiem's mobile team to work on genuinely interesting mobile engineering. Our native iOS and Android apps are mission-critical; they're how tenants access buildings, book spaces, manage visitor passes, and connect with their workplace community. We're not building standard mobile forms over REST APIs. You'll tackle real device-level challenges: NFC credentials, Bluetooth access passes, biometric authentication, and integrations with global security vendors. Plus, we're building and maintaining a white-label platform that lets building owners publish branded apps on top of our platform. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll work alongside our cross-platform mobile squad, taking end-to-end ownership of features across iOS and Android. You'll make sound technical decisions, contribute to architecture, write production-quality code, mentor other engineers, and raise the quality bar across the team. 🎯 What You'll Do Design and deliver features end-to-end across iOS and Android from requirements through App Store release. Contribute to the complete rebuild of our Android application. Take ownership of your domain within the mobile app, making sound technical decisions and justifying them clearly. Integrate with Equiem's federated GraphQL API and external SDKs (access control, authentication, push notifications, hardware interfaces). Tackle real device-level challenges: NFC credentials, Bluetooth access passes, biometric authentication, background services. Contribute to architectural decisions writing RFCs and ADRs, helping the team reason about technical direction. Ensure functional parity and consistent behaviour across iOS and Android. Maintain and extend our white-label app provisioning system building and releasing customer-branded apps via Bitrise. 🔍 What We're Looking For Essential: • Strong hands-on experience in native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development, ideally across both platforms. • Proven ability to design and deliver features end-to-end from requirements through App Store release. • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, or equivalent). • Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs and handling authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, token management). • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling for mobile Bitrise, Fastlane, or similar, including build variants and signing. • Strong eye for quality: meaningful test coverage, thoughtful PR reviews, low post-release defect rates. • Clear communication able to surface technical tradeoffs to product and design without jargon. • Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers with examples of measurable growth. Nice to Have: • Experience with hardware integrations: NFC, Bluetooth LE, biometrics, or device wallet APIs • Experience with cross-platform mobile technologies such as React Native • Familiarity with access control SDKs or security-sensitive mobile integrations • Experience building and maintaining white-label or multi-flavour mobile app platforms • Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform or Swift Package Manager • Background in B2B SaaS, PropTech, or enterprise mobile product environments • Experience with App Store/Play Console release management and phased rollouts 🛠️ Our Mobile Stack iOS: Native Swift, Bitrise CI/CD, TestFlight for beta distribution, App Store Connect release management. Access Control: NFC & Bluetooth hardware integrations with HID, SwiftConnect, Gallagher, OpenPath, Salto Space, Roger RACS5, and Apple/Google Wallet passes. API Layer: Federated GraphQL API (Node.js / Zero Framework backend), Apollo Client, Auth0 token flow. Push Notifications: Backend infrastructure with platform-specific notification extensions. White Label Platform: Flavour-based build system, per-customer Edition IDs, Firebase project configuration, automated WLA deployment via Bitrise. CI/CD & Tooling: Bitrise for all workflows, Fastlane for metadata and signing, App signing (Android Play Signing, iOS certificates/provisioning).
