Senior Mobile Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the design and development of high-impact mobile applications. You will work across iOS and Android platforms, driving technical excellence, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with product and design teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of mobile architecture, best practices, and a passion for building scalable, performant, and user-friendly applications. Key Responsibilities Design and develop native or cross-platform mobile applications (iOS/Android) using modern frameworks and best practices Lead technical architecture decisions and establish coding standards to ensure scalability and maintainability Mentor and code review junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for faster load times and smooth user experience Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and automation Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical issues with urgency and technical depth Stay current with mobile development trends, tools, and technologies; evaluate and recommend adoption of new tools Contribute to architectural planning and improve mobile infrastructure to support future growth Required Qualifications 6+ years of professional mobile development experience on iOS, Android, or both Strong expertise in at least one native language (Swift for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android) Deep understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture) and design principles Proven track record of shipping production apps that scale to millions of users Experience with RESTful APIs, networking libraries, and data persistence technologies Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and optimizing mobile applications Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth Preferred Qualifications Experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter) is a plus Hands-on experience with security best practices in mobile applications Knowledge of financial or fintech domain Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes Contribution to open-source mobile projects Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools Core Technical Skills iOS Development Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, Core Data, networking, performance optimization Android Development Kotlin, Android Architecture Components, Jetpack, Compose Mobile Architecture MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture, dependency injection Testing Unit testing, instrumentation testing, test automation DevOps & Tools Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Fastlane) Debugging & Profiling Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler What We Offer Competitive salary and equity package commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement benefits Flexible work arrangements (remote-first, with option for office collaboration) Professional development budget and learning opportunities Mentorship and career growth opportunities Collaborative, inclusive engineering culture Impact: Work on products used by millions of people globally The Payoneer Ways of Working Act as our customer’s partner on the inside Learning what they need and creating what will help them go further.
