Role Overview The Senior Network Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and governing secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise network solutions. The role provides expert technical leadership across LAN, WAN, WLAN, data centre, cloud, and network security domains. Working within a multi‑vendor environment, the architect ensures that network designs align with organisational strategy, security standards, and operational requirements. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural capability, and the ability to influence stakeholders across technology, security, and business functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and documentation of end‑to‑end network architectures across campus, data centre, WAN, WLAN, and cloud environments. Produce high‑level and low‑level designs, standards, patterns, and reference architectures. Architect solutions using Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies. Develop secure network architectures incorporating segmentation, firewalling, Zero Trust principles, and best‑practice security controls. Design and integrate SD‑WAN solutions into existing network topologies. Collaborate with cloud teams to deliver hybrid and cloud‑connected network architectures (Azure/AWS). Provide technical governance, design assurance, and oversight for major network projects. Act as a senior escalation point for complex design and operational issues. Support technology selection, vendor evaluation, and roadmap development. Mentor network engineers and contribute to capability development across the team. Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements.
