Senior Node.js Engineer

Their platform enables organizations to monitor, control, and optimize building operations, including HVAC, lighting, power, and other building systems, improving energy efficiency and operational performance. Important: Australian time zone, working hours from 8:00 AM UA. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions; Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and other stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions; Write clean, efficient, and reliable code, following coding standards and engineering best practices, unit tests Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality; Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks; Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies; Promote continuous improvement by introducing new tools, technologies, and engineering practices; Create and maintain technical documentation. Requirements: 5+ years of commercial experience in Back-End development; Expert knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript; Strong knowledge of Express.js and NestJS frameworks; Strong experience with MongoDB; Experience with Jest for unit and integration testing; Strong experience in REST API design and implementation; Experience working with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ); Experience with Swagger for API documentation; Nice to have: Strong experience with Docker and AWS Cloud services (ECS, Fargate, S3, S3 Glacier, Cloudfront, Route 53, WAF) Experience with ClickHouse and DynamoDB; Experience with MQTT; Understanding of system design, including scalable and distributed architectures;; Experience working with time-series data; Experience working with high-volume data; Experience in IoT projects; Front-end development experience is a strong plus.
