This is a hybrid position based at our corporate office located in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday. Key Responsibilities Compensation Technology Administration • Lead implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of the physician compensation management solution/technology platform. • Maintain compensation plan structures, provider profiles, productivity metrics, and reporting within the compensation management system. • Ensure system data integrity and alignment with source systems including EHR, practice management, and financial systems. • Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, and reporting capabilities within the compensation management platform. Compensation Modeling and Analysis • Develop and maintain compensation models for physicians and advanced practice providers, including productivity-based, hybrid, and value-based compensation structures. • Perform financial modeling for new provider recruitment, compensation plan revisions, and service line expansion. • Ensure compensation models align with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute considerations. • Support market leadership in evaluating compensation structures, productivity expectations, and alignment with strategic objectives. Data Management and Analytics • Extract, validate, and scrub provider productivity and financial data from EHR and related systems to support compensation calculations and reporting. • Develop provider compensation reports including productivity metrics (wRVUs, collections, encounters), compensation-to-productivity ratios, and incentive attainment. • Identify discrepancies in source data and coordinate with revenue cycle, IT, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting inputs. • Develop standardized reporting and dashboards to support operational and provider visibility into compensation performance. Operational Support and Training • Serve as the primary resource for operations leaders and providers on compensation management system functionality and reporting. • Train market operations leaders and practice administrators on compensation reporting tools, dashboards, and system workflows. • Provide ongoing technical support related to compensation calculations, productivity reporting, and system functionality. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Surgery Partners corporate functional areas including Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, and IT on compensation-related initiatives. • Support compliance reviews and documentation related to provider compensation arrangements. • Assist in standardizing compensation reporting processes across the physician practice portfolio. • Participate in compensation program enhancements and strategic initiatives related to provider compensation design. Process Improvement and Standardization • Identify opportunities to standardize compensation methodologies, reporting structures, and data workflows across physician practices. • Assist in the development of enterprise-wide best practices for physician and advanced practitioner compensation management. • Support automation and scalability initiatives for compensation calculation and reporting processes. Education / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, or related field required. • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, physician compensation, healthcare finance, or provider productivity analysis preferred. • Experience working with physician compensation models, productivity metrics (wRVUs, collections), or provider performance reporting preferred. • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks impacting compensation arrangements, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, preferred. • Experience working with EHR or practice management data sources preferred. • Experience supporting multi-site healthcare organizations or physician practice operations preferred. Knowledge / Skills Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency. • Experience working with large data sets, including data extraction, validation, and analysis. • Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for operational leaders. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process integrity. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across operational and corporate teams. • Comfortable training end users on technology platforms and reporting tools. • Self-starter with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
