Mission

Insparya is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to build and maintain the integration and data platform that supports our clinical, commercial and patient-facing systems across Portugal, Spain, Italy, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll take ownership of our existing integration landscape and lead the development of the core system that connects our applicational landscape. You'll work closely with the Head of Technology, the delivery team and external system vendors to design reliable, well-documented services that scale with the business.

This is a remote position within Portugal, with two in-person team days per month (in Lisbon).

Responsibilities

• Evolve the current implementation of our core data layer, including identity resolution and reconciliation across multiple source systems.
• Develop and maintain integration between our systems.
• Design and expose the APIs and data services consumed by our internal and patient-facing applications.
• Build event-driven services on AWS.
• Manage and evolve our AWS infrastructure, moving toward infrastructure as code.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure visibility over production services.
• Support production services as part of a shared team rotation.
• Apply appropriate access control and data protection practices when handling patient data.
• Coordinate with external system vendors on technical integration requirements.
• Document architecture, data flows, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
• Solid experience with AWS beyond basic compute, including event-driven and asynchronous patterns.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, migrations, and query performance.
• Proven experience integrating third-party systems and APIs, including poorly documented ones.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (CDK or equivalent).
• Experience designing REST APIs and webhook-based integrations.
• Effective use of AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data modeling across heterogeneous sources.
• Background in healthcare or another regulated environment with GDPR obligations.
• Experience taking ownership of existing systems and improving their maintainability.
• Familiarity with HubSpot.
• Strong communication skills, including near non-technical stakeholders and external vendors.
• Self-driven, able to work independently and take ownership of complex problems.
