Senior Presales Engineer

Position Title: Security Pre-sales Engineer

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia (Remote)

Department: Sales & Technical Support

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the sales team to identify prospective clients and cultivate strong relationships with channel partners to drive sustainable revenue growth
• Maintain deep expertise across the full Hillstone product portfolio and effectively demonstrate how our solutions protect organizations from evolving cyber threats
• Educate partners, prospects, and customers on the diverse technical, operational, and network security challenges they face, and articulate how Hillstone delivers value
• Lead technical engagements with potential and existing customers to uncover their business requirements and pain points, and propose tailored security solutions
• Collaborate closely with R&D and TAC teams to address technical inquiries, provide best-practice guidance, and manage Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects from scoping to successful completion
• Respond to the technical components of RFIs and RFPs, with support from subject matter experts when needed
• Actively participate in local cybersecurity events, industry forums, and partner activities across Indonesia to strengthen Hillstone's market presence

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 3+ years of engineering or pre-sales experience with security products or networking solutions
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Open-minded, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of typical enterprise network architectures commonly seen in Indonesia's key verticals (e.g., financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, government)
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Routing protocols, L2/L3 switching, VPN, LAN/WLAN
• IPS, NGFW, Anti-Virus, IPSEC, SSL, RADIUS, PKI, IKE
• Virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or local Indonesian cloud providers)
• Hands-on experience with at least several of the following: NGFW, WAF, IPS, SD-WAN, Email Security Gateways, ADC, XDR
• Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Good awareness of the current threat landscape and emerging attack vectors (preferred but not required)
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – ability to communicate effectively with regional and global teams
• CISSP, CCNP Security, NSE, or other relevant security certifications are strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel domestically within Indonesia as required
