Job Summary
The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and optimizing pricing strategies within an outsourced services environment. This role builds financial models, conducts competitive benchmarking, and provides pricing recommendations that balance client value with business objectives, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership to design pricing solutions that support sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Objectives
- Support the pricing strategy and execution for deals across all business lines, contributing to the overall price narrative.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new pricing models and templates, as well as refining existing ones to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Management, and other cross-functional teams to interpret individual proposal requirements and provide pricing support.
- Work closely with Business Development Executives (BDEs) and other departments to refine estimates based on their input and assist in preparing price narratives.
- Create and maintain standard pricing detail templates for various service lines and geographies.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on historical revenue and pricing data, preparing comprehensive reports and data visualizations to present to Revenue leaders and stakeholders.
- Leverage various internal and external data sources to provide ongoing analysis and refinement of pricing strategies.
- Track and report on pricing performance for existing clients, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Execute pricing data projects that support the overall strategy and vision of the Revenue organization.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, with strong adaptability to tight deadlines and last-minute changes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs.
- Continuously improve knowledge of pricing strategy, revenue management, and data analysis best practices through training and learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed.
What Does a Day of a Senior Pricing Analyst Look Like?
- Reviewing incoming proposal requirements with Sales and Key Account Management, partnering with Business Development Executives (BDEs) to refine estimates, and building or auditing complex financial models and standard pricing templates using Excel and Google Sheets.
- Conducting deep-dive analyses on historical revenue and pricing data, creating comprehensive data visualizations for Revenue leaders, and tracking pricing performance against market trends.
- Supporting pricing execution across business lines, juggling multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines with a self-auditing, zero-error mindset, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in a strategic pricing, revenue management, or data analysis role.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in pricing architecture or a similar function, with a strong focus on data analysis and reporting, preferably within an outsourced services environment.
- Exceptional skills with Excel/Google Sheets with an ability to build, navigate, and audit complex financial models.
- High attention to detail and strong process discipline, with a self-auditing mindset to ensure zero-error output before submissions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical, process-oriented mindset for creating solutions to complex problems with multiple variables.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with a proven aptitude for learning quickly and the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines.
- Ability to work flexible hours supporting a global organization.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree (e.g., MBA) or years of supervisor experience. Experience from the BPO industry is also preferred, with openness to candidates from Consulting/Financial Services industries.
