Portfolio is a must. We want to see how you reason through problems, structure complex flows, and arrive at clear, polished solutions. Retell is building infrastructure and tools that power real-time AI voice agents used by fast-growing companies. Design quality matters here. Every interaction happens in real time, under pressure, with real users. You'll own end-to-end product design across core user workflows, working directly with founders, engineers, and customers to shape features from first principles, not just polish UI after decisions are made. This is a high-ownership role with real influence over product direction, UX quality, and design standards. **What You'll Do** * Own the product experience end-to-end, from early concepts and PRDs to polished, shipped features used by real customers in high-stakes, real-time scenarios * Shape how users interact with AI voice agents, turning complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive, and human experiences * Work directly with engineers and founders to define, refine, and ship features, ensuring design intent and quality carry through to production * Be the voice of the user: conduct customer interviews, gather feedback, and translate real pain points into thoughtful design solutions * Proactively raise the UX bar by identifying friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities across the product * Build and evolve Retell's design system, setting standards for consistency, scalability, and craftsmanship as the product and team grow * Influence product direction through design, contributing strong opinions, clear rationale, and taste-driven decisions **What We're Looking For** * 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on shipped products * Deep UX skills: information architecture, interaction design, user flows, complex workflow simplification, and user research * Strong visual/UI sensibility with clear attention to hierarchy, clarity, and polish * A strong portfolio that shows your design process and thinking, not just final pixels * Detail-oriented and care deeply about consistency and craft * Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity * Enjoy owning problems end-to-end rather than working within a narrow design scope * Bonus: experience designing for developer tools, APIs, dashboards, or real-time systems **Comp and Benefits** * Cash: $180K-$230K or 15-18k per month --- Two things I'd flag for your review: I dropped the DoorDash and commuter perks since they're on-site benefits that don't apply to remote.
