The Opportunity The Sr. Product Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, optimization, and maintenance of new and existing products from concept through commercialization. This role reviews product formulas, ingredient documentation, facts panel management, and other product development tasks. The ideal candidate combines strong technical formulation expertise with cross-functional collaboration skills to drive innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance, quality, and market readiness. What You’ll Do: Formula Management & Development Support the development of new formulas. Support reformulations and product improvements to enhance efficacy, stability, cost-efficiency, and consumer appeal. ingredient compatibility and stability. Collaborate with suppliers on ingredients and formulas and assess technical documentation. Ingredient Documentation & Compliance Manage and maintain ingredient documentation. Ensure compliance with FDA dietary supplement regulations and cGMP standards. Review global regulatory considerations for international markets as applicable. Supplement/Nutrition Facts Panel Creation Create and verify Supplement Facts and Nutrition Facts panels. Calculate ingredient contributions, serving sizes, and % Daily Values. Ensure labeling accuracy in accordance with FDA and support Regulatory team on applicable international regulations. Collaborate with Marketing and Regulatory to validate claims and positioning. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields. 5+ years of experience in nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or functional food product development. Demonstrated experience managing formulas and technical documentation. Strong knowledge of FDA dietary supplement regulations and labeling requirements. Experience creating Supplement/Nutrition Facts panels. Experience working with contract manufacturers and raw material suppliers. Formulation expertise across multiple delivery systems (capsules, tablets, powders, liquids, other). Proficiency with formulation software and nutrient calculation tools. Understanding of ingredient functionality, stability, and bioavailability. Knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks. Minimal travel (5% or less per year) We Love Candidates Who Have: Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.
