Mission

Insparya is seeking an experienced Senior Product Engineer to own and evolve the applications our patients and referral partners use across Portugal, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. In this role, you'll take ownership of our React Native applications together with the web back offices that support them. You'll define how these products converge technically, from a shared component library and authentication to a common release process and work closely with the Head of Technology and our Platform Engineer to shape the APIs they consume.

This is a remote position within Portugal, with two in-person team days per month (in Lisbon).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our patient and referral partner applications.
• Evolve both applications, moving toward shared architecture, components, and authentication.
• Maintain and develop web back offices supporting our systems.
• Establish a shared component library and design system across web and mobile.
• Own the release process for both applications across the App Store and Google Play.
• Define API requirements together with the Platform Engineer and integrate against our core data layer.
• Implement crash reporting, analytics and monitoring, and act on what they show.
• Support production services as part of a shared team rotation.
• Apply appropriate access control and data protection practices when handling patient data.
• Document architecture, release procedures, and operational knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with React and TypeScript, including substantial production experience in React Native.
• Applications shipped and maintained in both the App Store and Google Play, including the release and review process.
• Experience taking over and improving codebases developed by others.
• Experience building web applications with modern React frameworks (Next.js or equivalent).
• Comfortable working across the stack, including Node.js APIs and integration with backend services.
• Solid understanding of authentication, session handling and secure data storage on mobile.
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile releases (EAS, Fastlane or equivalent).
• Effective use of AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work.
• Fluency in English, and in Portuguese or Spanish.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Expo and its build and update tooling.
• Multi-language applications, including right-to-left layouts.
• Background in healthcare or another regulated environment with GDPR obligations.
• Product sensibility - able to contribute to what gets built, not only how.
• Strong communication skills, including near non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven, able to work independently and take ownership of complex problems.
