Power Takeoff

Is this job info correct?

Power TakeOff is seeking a Senior Program Manager to own the execution of new pilot programs - translating contract outcomes, customer needs, and market research into a clear program design strategy our internal delivery team can execute on. About Power Takeoff, Inc. Power TakeOff is a leading provider of software and implementation solutions in the utility industry, specializing in energy efficiency and demand side management (DSM). Our mission is to identify and deliver data-driven solutions to guide our partners and their communities to a lower carbon future. We drive our sustainability impact through software and services leveraging utility meter data and layered data sets, advanced analytics, and personalized customer engagements that help businesses better understand and reduce their energy consumption. We deliver cost-effective solutions for over 30 utilities across North America. Position Summary The Senior Program Manager works within the Commercialization team which is responsible for identifying new market opportunities that complement Power TakeOff’s core offerings, and piloting these new concepts from MVP into scalable repeatable programs. This role combines elements of commercialization strategy, sales, and technical project management: the Senior Program Manager participates in discovery conversations with utility clients to understand their goals or challenges, and decides if Power TakeOff can leverage its core competencies to deliver a solution for them. This manager will guide how each pilot is built, what end customers to target, and how to measure success; then delivers on that strategy from the first concept through steady state program management. Once a pilot is underway, the Senior Program Manager becomes the utility partner’s primary point of contact for that solution - the person the client relies on to represent their interests internally, and the person internal teams look to for direction and decisions. They will coordinate across internal Power TakeOff teams of Client Success, Portfolio Management, Program Delivery, Product, Analytics, and Marketing to keep delivery aligned with strategic intent, and will be accountable for turning pilot results into a clear, evidence-based recommendation on whether and how to scale. Because Power TakeOff’s core competencies include data analytics, energy visualizations, and simply marketing messaging, a successful candidate will be able to pair - knowing what aspects of layout, copy, tone, and data visuals tell the most compelling story, and why - with technical project management to see a program through design, delivery, and scale-readiness. You are comfortable translating complex energy data into insights that end customers can act on, and equally comfortable in the room where the next pilot’s strategy gets decided. Your success will be measured by the outcomes your pilots deliver for clients against contract objectives, and your track record of turning pilots into scalable offerings. Key Responsibilities Client Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as the utility partner’s primary point of contact for the pilot - their trusted advisor externally and their advocate internally. Act as a technical project manager to orchestrate work across internal Client Success, Portfolio Management, Program Delivery, Product, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver a seamless experience for the client, driving alignment and follow-through as a trusted cross-functional leader. Lead working sessions and executive reviews with clients and internal leadership to clarify scope, ownership, tradeoffs, risks, and next steps. Prepare and present client-ready performance updates and recommendations that support renewal, expansion, and scale decisions. Program Design, Launch & Delivery Lead pilots end-to-end: from opportunity and strategy through design, implementation, launch, performance review, and the go/no-go decision to scale. Act as project manager to establish critical paths and dependencies across workstreams; identify risks early and recommend mitigations, providing other teams internally the background, context and decisioning support to execute successfully. Achieve outcomes for our utility partners, including: Improved email engagement and conversion (OR, CVR, CTOR) . Reduced energy waste and increased efficiency. Lower peak demand on the electric grid. Improved end-customer satisfaction and program retention. Own the customer journey, engagement strategy, content calendar, segmentation, and iterative improvement plan for each pilot. Use results, surveys, A/B tests, and engagement data to refine programs, substantiate savings, and increase participation. Program Strategy & Opportunity Identification Collaborate with the Director of Product Commercialization to identify and evaluate new market opportunities for utility partners, assessing customer need, competitive landscape, and strategic fit with Power TakeOff’s core offerings. Decide, in partnership with the Commercialization team and executive leadership, which pilots to pursue, which end customer segments to target, and how success will be defined before a pilot begins. Leverage existing product concepts and go-to-market tactics to establish the strategic implementation plan for each pilot: target outcomes, required investment, risks, and the criteria that will determine whether it scales. Maintain and prioritize the pilot pipeline against company strategy and utility partner needs; reporting out on pilot status, risks, mitigation plans and investment logic for which efforts to fast-track or back-burner. Scaling Commercialization Take learnings from each program, and work across internal teams to define what must be changed, be documented, be standardized, or be automated to move from a one-off pilot to a standard program. Develop reusable frameworks, playbooks, RACI charts, SOPs, and launch tools that let proven pilots be replicated across additional clients. Train internal teams on new product playbooks and incorporate feedback into market plans and implementation approaches. Collaborate with the VP of Sales and other Directors to author proposals, present slides to clients, and support RFP responses that drive new sales. Key Qualifications 8+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs, including direct experience shaping program strategy - not just executing against a defined scope - from concept through launch and scale. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant experience as a technical project manager or PMP. Experience in utilities, energy efficiency, demand-side management, energy analytics, or a data-intensive B2B environment; behavioral energy efficiency experience preferred. Track record serving as a primary client-facing point of contact, managing senior stakeholder relationships and expectations. Strong executive presence: able to lead working sessions with clients and internal leadership, and to influence outcomes across teams without formal authority. Working knowledge of commercial energy management, interval meter data, energy-use patterns, and analytical logic. Experience turning a proof-of-concept or pilot into a scaled, repeatable offering. Strong judgment and systems thinking; able to manage competing priorities, surface issues early, and drive execution. Strong client-facing, facilitation, and writing skills, including the ability to turn technical and operational details into clear, strategic recommendations. Proficiency with project management, documentation, spreadsheet, presentation, and collaboration tools; CRM or marketing automation experience is a plus. Location and Travel Power TakeOff is a 100% virtual company with no physical office location. While we are a fully remote company, we have hubs in the Denver and Kitchener areas and provide opportunities for our team members in those areas to connect in person from time to time. This position is eligible for employment either in the United States or Canada. Power TakeOff maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus. Benefits include: Medical insurance, including vision and dental Health Savings Account contributions Retirement plans with company matching Student Loan Incentive Repayment Program (eligible 12 months after employment) Generous time off, including: 15 paid vacation days, increasing to 20 after the first year 7 flexible well-being days At least 9 paid holidays All company winter break between Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st Summer "Friyays", from June through August we get each 2nd and 4th Friday off! Join our team and play a key role in driving positive impacts for our business, our customers, our utility clients, the environment, and all of society!
