Today, 87% of our team is based in the Global South. Purpose of the Position The Senior Project Associate will support the implementation of Imago’s projects in Brazil. The role will focus on the day-to-day management of projects, the application of Imago’s methodologies, coordination with clients and partners, and the timely delivery of high-quality technical outputs. This position requires the ability to work independently, organize work plans, track deadlines, deliverables, risks, and decisions, and coordinate the people involved in each project. The Senior Project Associate will also contribute to assessment, co-creation, evaluation, and learning processes, working closely with Imago Brazil’s leadership and the global Programs team. Key Responsibilities Project management: Develop and implement work plans, timelines, and deliverables; coordinate across internal teams, partners, and clients; and monitor project risks and the quality of deliverables. Technical and methodological support: Apply Imago’s methodologies, including Adaptive Evaluation, Theory of Change, Process Tracing, and Systems Mapping. Conduct interviews and document reviews, and facilitate workshops. Deliverables and knowledge management: Prepare technical reports, presentations, executive summaries, and documentation of lessons learned. Client and partner engagement: Manage strategic relationships with clients and partners and participate in external meetings. Business development: Identify potential opportunities and support the development of technical and financial proposals. Organizational support: Coordinate consultants and junior professionals and foster collaboration and integration across projects in Brazil and other countries. Requirements and competences to work with us Education Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Development, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience More than eight years of overall professional experience, including at least three years specifically focused on qualitative research, document analysis, and evidence synthesis. Experience preparing executive-level reports and presentations and working with international and remote teams is required. Experience evaluating public policies or social programs, facilitating workshops, and developing proposals is highly valued. Knowledge and Skills Advanced written and spoken proficiency in Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus. Familiarity with Theory of Change, Process Tracing, Adaptive Evaluation, or other qualitative evaluation methodologies. Knowledge of or experience in evaluating public policies or social programs.
