Salary/Position Classification $64,800 + Annual, Dependent on Experience, Exempt 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): Yes, negotiable Work location must be within a commutable distance from the UND main campus located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Travel within North Dakota is required for this position. Purpose of Position The incumbent will serve as the Sr. Project Coordinator of one or more rural health grant-funded initiatives providing day-to-day program management. The grant project supporting this position will be with the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) which is focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining various North Dakota Rural Health initiatives. This position will report initially to the CRH Director, but supervision will be reassigned. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in maternal health, community health workers, public health, health workforce development, care coordination, and value-based care. However, all candidates who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply. Duties & Responsibilities Grant program management activities. Determine program development initiatives, action steps, follow-through, and tracking. Ensure timely and effective completion of program objectives. Create progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Draft and manage Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs). Establish and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders. Managing the program’s task forces and working groups. Expand and strengthen connections with other state and national entities. Supervise program staff including continued professional development, annual staff performance reviews, and creating a positive and productive work environment. Provide work direction and task assignments to staff, review and approve work efforts/products, and monitor performance. Provide opportunities for staff and team education/training to further their professional knowledge of rural health organizations and systems. Adhere to UND HR, Payroll, and other policies related to staff management. Provide grant administration. Create and monitor program budgets. Make financial decisions with the PI’s input; including overseeing expenditures, subcontracts, procurement processes, technical assistance, and other services. Work with CRH to support grant management. Adhere to federal and state, private, foundation, and university terms, conditions, and regulations for grants and contract Assist with Implementing programmatic strategies. Implement program work plans. Coordinate the activities in the grant work plan. Generate reports and respond to other data queries. Implement and manage program goals, including evaluation and reporting. Assist PI in the application and communication of program processes, guidelines, and policies. Coordinate with key partners and other stakeholders. Participate in community development meetings to enhance collaboration. Assist with development of promotional campaigns and advertising for the program. Organize and facilitate program meetings. Apply creativity and logic to locate specific information and to research issues. Attend national and state meetings, events & conferences. Take advantage of other growth opportunities available. Other duties, as assigned. Participate in professional activities. Participate in Center for Rural Health meetings. Develop and manage special projects and other job-related duties, as assigned. Participate on committees, make presentations, and publish appropriate research or accomplishments, as assigned. Keep current on the latest developments in the field and areas of interest related to your position, through reading and other communications. Contribute to the advancement of the profession and status of the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota. Required Competencies Knowledge of rural health dynamics. Ability to connect resources, empower interested persons or organizations, and take on leadership roles. Ability to accurately type, proof, edit, and format reports and manuscripts, create agendas, record minutes. Ability to apply UND and federal grant policies and procedures. Customer service skills. Strong computer aptitude. Skills and ability using the internet and search engines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to be self-directed. High level of attention-to-detail and the ability to generate timely work products. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, take initiative, and to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Must be able to travel to national events occasionally, and regional or local events and meetings in North Dakota frequently. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree. Five years of experience working in program and/or organizational management. Two years of experience working in healthcare or with rural health related programs. Must substantiate years of experience in a statement provided as part of cover letter. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, WebEx (or similar). Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in health or management/administration field. Experience working in project or grant management. Supervisory experience. Experience working in community outreach. Experience organizing and tracking programmatic information, and writing programmatic reports. Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to a wide-range of audiences from small meetings to large groups. To Apply Cover letter and resume are required.
