Job Description Senior Project Manager – Cloud, M365 & AI Client: Government of Alberta (GoA) – Technology & Innovation Project: Enterprise Messaging Modernization Location: Edmonton, AB – Remote, with onsite meetings 3–4 times/month as required Work Location: 7000 – 113 St, Edmonton, Alberta Contract: Approximately 1,805 hours Hours: 36.25 hours/week, 7.25 hours/day Positions: 2 Work Eligibility: Must work from within Canada Travel: Up to 15% Extension: Up to 6 months Key Responsibilities Manage multiple AI, Microsoft 365 and Cloud-related IT projects from analysis through implementation. Develop project charters, business/project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans and governance. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, interdependencies and escalations. Coordinate business and technical stakeholders, vendors, sponsors and leadership. Ensure projects align with GoA policies, enterprise architecture and business objectives . Lead Agile and Waterfall projects and provide PMO-compliant reporting. Support change management, communications and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) . Prepare presentations and deliverables for steering committees and senior leadership. Support requirements gathering, process improvement and documentation. Apply security controls, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity considerations. Provide recommendations on methodology, resources, dependencies and policy impacts. Requirements Mandatory Requirements PMP certification – Mandatory 10+ years developing project schedules. 10+ years identifying, analyzing and managing risks on large, complex projects. 5+ years implementing cloud-based projects/services at large scale. 12 years combined education/PMP experience . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-Have / Sourcing Keywords 10+ years delivering complex IT projects. 7+ years working with policies, processes and procedures and assessing their impacts. 5+ years stakeholder meeting leadership/facilitation. 5+ years large-scale Agile & Waterfall projects/programs. 5+ years security controls in project solutions/designs. 5+ years Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning. 2+ years implementing AI projects . 5+ years process improvement, documentation and requirements gathering. 7+ years public-sector experience.
