You will oversee project initiation activities including Project Categorisation, Condition Assessments, Design Delivery Strategies, Project Briefs, Design Briefs and Business Cases, ensuring projects align with organisational priorities, regulatory obligations and long-term service outcomes. Working across Engineering and Technical Support (ETS), you will drive the successful delivery of complex planning programs while providing leadership and guidance to project professionals. This is a key role focused on delivering quality planning outcomes, managing risk and cost, and strengthening project delivery capability across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of infrastructure planning, renewal programs and projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time and within budget. Develop business cases, project plans, schedules and planning artefacts that support effective decision-making and investment approval. Manage project scope, cost, schedule, risk and quality, providing clear reporting on performance and delivery progress. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project planning and execution. Apply robust governance, procurement and contract management practices throughout the project lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, resource planning and project management practices across ETS. About You You are an experienced project or program management professional with a strong background in infrastructure planning and asset renewal. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy solving technical challenges and can influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. You will bring: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline. 10+ years' experience delivering complex infrastructure planning or renewal projects. Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure or government environments. Strong understanding of infrastructure planning, asset management and capital delivery frameworks. Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, risk management, cost control, governance and stakeholder management. Experience developing business cases and supporting major investment decisions. Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement capabilities. The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments. Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing project teams. Does this sound like you?
