(Senior) Project Manager (m/f/d)

Context of the Role As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex projects in dynamic and often changing environments. This role goes beyond classic time and budget control — it requires the ability to balance scope, resources, and priorities holistically, ensuring the success of each initiative from start to finish. You will be responsible for structuring and steering complex topics, facilitating alignment across diverse stakeholders, and managing risks proactively before they impact outcomes. Your strong understanding of scope management and change request handling helps you keep projects on track while maintaining flexibility where needed. You bring a confident approach to capacity and resource planning, backed by solid skills in documentation, reporting, and project control. Your ability to plan in volatile environments and guide teams through uncertainty makes you a reliable anchor for your projects. Key Tasks As a (Senior) Project Manager, you will be fully responsible for the successful implementation of IT software projects – from initiation and planning to final delivery – for our customers in the tank terminal sector. Full project ownership for medium to large-scale IT implementations (TMS/MES) in the DACH region and internationally. Lead cross-functional teams of software developers, consultants, and client stakeholders. Manage requirement analysis, system configuration, integration testing, and go-live phases. Coordinate closely with customer-side stakeholders (Operations, IT, Engineering). Apply best practice project management methodologies – using Jira. Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. Required Skills University degree (Bachelor’s/Master) in Business, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, ideally in software implementation for industrial applications. Understanding of TMS/MES systems and their role in operational processes is a big plus. Industry experience in Oil & Gas or related process industries (e.g. chemicals, energy). In-depth and proven knowledge and experience in managing the various project phases Experience with Jira or comparable tools is a plus. Applicants must have native-level proficiency in German. Willingness to travel for client meetings (approx. 10–20%). Why us?
