Learn more at www.gevernova.com The Sr Project Manager – Steam Power - Nuclear is responsible for Project Management, Planning, and Coordination typically in the context of a Services Project to fulfill GE Vernova’s customer outage requirements for the Nuclear Power Business, according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is focused on the execution of outage activities, within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Job Description What you’ll do Provide project leadership and guidance from project conception through to project delivery; to the customer and to conduct project feedback reviews at the appropriate time Development and management of costs with ongoing estimates to completion of projects Development, planning and management of the project schedules and payment milestones, while providing contingency planning where required, to ensure a timely delivery Managing the contractual scope content ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed Risk and Opportunity management. Ensuring that all risks and issues are identified and mitigated To communicate effectively with all the stakeholders, both internal and external while maintaining excellent relations with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teams It is expected that this position will act as the focus for project-based activities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant project management experience within the power generation or industrial manufacturing industry. Ability to gain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in Canada or U.S. Ability to travel, up to 30% annually, domestically and internationally. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport. Ability to work at customer site as required What will make you stand out Professional Engineering Certification PMP Certification Experience with Steam Power systems either in a Nuclear, Fossil or Industrial power plant setting Practical knowledge of GE Vernova products is a plus but not necessity Ability to adapt to changing technology Attention to detail and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, and results oriented – Able to make reasoned, sound, and timely decisions Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks Able to work successfully in a matrix environment, executing multiple assignments and priorities Continuous improvement “mindset” with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to execute an activity or process Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Primavera P6 Strong verbal communication skills and customer focused mindset Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills You must have legal authorization to work in Canada, and any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation: the drug screen requirement in the background check process is not required if the role is based in Canada. For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $138,200 and $188,200 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
