Join us and help drive science-informed solutions that protect and enhance our natural environment for future generations. 2 x Temporary (until 30 June 2029) Full-time (35 hours per week) opportunities Located in Parramatta with hybrid working supported Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $128,052 to $142,649 pa plus super We are seeking an experienced and strategic science professional to join our team in a key role that connects scientific expertise with policy, planning, collaboration and delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to influence environmental and conservation outcomes by coordinating multidisciplinary science programs, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring scientific knowledge is translated into practical solutions. As a Senior Project Officer Knowledge Broker, you will act as a central connector between science, policy and operational delivery. You will coordinate complex projects and scientific initiatives, develop and maintain strategic partnerships, and ensure that scientific knowledge is accessible, relevant and effectively applied to support conservation and environmental outcomes. You will work closely with senior leaders, researchers and stakeholders to develop science strategies, identify new opportunities, and strengthen the organisation's scientific capability and influence. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with senior executives, scientists and stakeholders to develop science strategies, policies, systems and plans that support organisational priorities and environmental outcomes. Develop and maintain science management systems, policies and quality assurance processes. Coordinate multidisciplinary projects, scientific programs and stakeholder responses across the organisation and broader government sector. You enjoy working across complex environments and can communicate science clearly and effectively to influence decision-making. You will ideally bring: Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, ecology, conservation science, natural resource management or a related scientific discipline. Demonstrated experience developing science strategies, programs, policies or research initiatives. Strong ability to translate complex scientific information into practical advice for technical and non-technical audiences.
