Senior Project Support Officer (PMO)

About the Role

NISH Tech BV is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead Business Continuity and operational resilience improvement initiatives within a leading Belgian financial institution.

In this role, you will lead multiple transformation and improvement projects focused on strengthening Business Continuity Management, improving organizational resilience and simplifying operational processes. You will work closely with business continuity specialists, senior stakeholders and management teams to define objectives, coordinate delivery and implement practical, validated solutions.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong project management capability, Business Continuity Management experience and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change. You will play a key role in improving the efficiency, effectiveness and maturity of the organization's business continuity framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Business Continuity transformation and improvement initiatives.
• Deliver practical and validated solutions with a hands-on mindset.
• Develop and implement process simplification initiatives.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Business Continuity processes.
• Review existing Business Continuity processes and recovery deliverables.
• Identify pragmatic opportunities for process improvement.
• Gather requirements from relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings.
• Challenge existing practices and identify improvement opportunities.
• Define project objectives, deliverables, milestones and success criteria.
• Coordinate project activities and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies and issues.
• Propose and follow up mitigating actions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned initiatives.
• Support change management and communication activities.
• Drive stakeholder adoption of implemented improvements.

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in Project Management and/or Business Continuity.
• Demonstrated Project Management experience involving multiple stakeholders.
• Practical experience in Business Continuity Management and implementation.
• Strong experience delivering transformation or improvement initiatives.
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies and issues.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and meetings.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Results-oriented and delivery-focused approach.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with teams.
• Strong Dutch, French and English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in process optimization.
• Experience in process simplification initiatives.
• Experience improving operational efficiency.
• Experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience with Business Recovery Plans and related processes.
• Experience in organizational resilience initiatives.

Education

Master's degree or equivalent experience.

Certifications

Relevant Project or Program Management certification such as:

• Agile
• PRINCE2
• Equivalent Project/Program Management certification

The following Business Continuity certifications are considered an asset:

• BCI
• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer

Experience

At least 6 years of relevant experience in Project Management and/or Business Continuity Management.

Languages

Strong written and spoken communication skills in:

• Dutch
• French
• English
