Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled
Senior Python Developer who thrives in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. In this role, you will design and implement distributed services, with a strong focus on asynchronous processing and reliable data workflows. You’ll work on systems that handle real-world scale, leveraging cloud storage and event-driven architectures to ensure efficiency and resilience. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure, solve complex engineering challenges, and shape how systems operate in production environments.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with Python and 3+ years of experience with Go to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Go.
- Build and manage asynchronous task processing systems (Celery or alternatives like Kafka).
- Integrate and manage cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3).
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience with Python and 3+ years of experience with Go.
- Hands-on experience with S3 or similar object storage systems.
- Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery, Kafka, or similar).
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with high-scale systems
- Familiarity with cloud environments and deployment pipelines
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and drive to do great things.
