As a Senior Python Developer, you’ll play a key role in developing a cloud-native SaaS platform used by global financial institutions. Working with Pytho in an AWS environment, you’ll build secure, scalable backend services and APIs that process complex regulatory data at scale.

This is a long-term day-rate contract with excellent prospects for extension or a permanent opportunity. With just 2/3 days on site per month, you’ll have genuine flexibility to work remotely for the vast majority of your time, while still staying connected to a highly experienced engineering team.

You’ll:

• Take ownership of key components of a cloud-based SaaS platform.
• Design and develop secure, high-performance backend services and APIs using Python.
• Shape technical solutions alongside Business and Technical teams, rapidly prototype ideas and champion new approaches.
• Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases to support complex, data-intensive applications.
• Contribute to DevOps processes, deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills.
• Strong experience working within Linux environments.
• Experience developing scalable, production-grade backend applications.
