What you will be doing

• Designing and executing AI-augmented test strategies — leveraging GenAI tools (OpenAI API, Claude Code, Claude skills, Cursor) to accelerate test creation, expand coverage, and detect edge cases that manual approaches miss.
• Building and maintaining robust Selenium-based automation frameworks across web applications, ensuring regression suites run reliably at scale.
• Analyzing test data and production telemetry to identify failure patterns, prioritize defect fixes, and provide actionable quality metrics to engineering leadership.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) so that every commit is validated before it reaches production.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers on best practices in automation architecture, GenAI-assisted testing, and data-driven quality decisions.
  
  

What you will NOT be doing

• Manual-only testing drudgery — you won't spend your days clicking through the same UI flows. Automation and AI handle the repetitive work; you focus on strategy and edge cases.
• Working in a siloed QA department that only hears about features after they're built. You're embedded with engineering from design through deployment.
• Maintaining legacy test suites no one cares about — we actively prune and refactor; every test earns its place in the pipeline.
• Begging for infrastructure or tooling budget — GenAI tools, cloud resources, and modern CI/CD platforms are already provisioned and encouraged.
• Writing 50-page test plans that no one reads — documentation is lean, living, and tied directly to automated checks.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test automation strategy for assigned product areas, including framework selection, test design, and execution.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Selenium-based test suites in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Integrate GenAI tools into the QA workflow to generate test cases, analyze logs, and accelerate exploratory testing.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipeline test stages across Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and production incidents; deliver data-backed recommendations to reduce defect escape rate.
• Define and report quality KPIs (test coverage, defect density, mean time to detect) with clear dashboards.
• Conduct code reviews of test automation pull requests and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria and testability requirements before development begins.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software QA with at least 3 years focused on test automation.
• Hands-on proficiency with Selenium WebDriver (Page Object Model, waits, cross-browser testing).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for scripting and framework development.
• Demonstrated experience using GenAI tools (OpenAI API, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable) to enhance engineering workflows.
• Working knowledge of at least one CI/CD platform: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid data analysis skills — comfortable with SQL, log parsing, and visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate test results into business-impact language.
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first environment.

• Experience with API testing frameworks (Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright).
• Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust).
• Contributions to open-source test automation projects.
• Knowledge of containerized test environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in security or accessibility testing.
