THE ROLE As a Senior R&D Engineer at Kempower, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you'll develop our power conversion and sharing products together with colleagues, making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation. ROLE SPECIFICS: Lead the design of complex power conversion products. Conduct advanced simulations, loss modeling, reliability analysis, and derating calculations. Participate in component selection decisions and collaborate with suppliers for critical components. Lead testing of prototypes, ensuring reliability, performance, and readiness for certification. Provide technical leadership in resolving critical electrical, thermal, and EMC challenges. Mentor colleagues and guide decisions that affect power conversion products. At Kempower, we work in a hybrid model. You can work in our offices in Lahti, Tampere, Vaasa, Helsinki or your home office. Occasionally you will visit suppliers, fairs, customers or third-party laboratories based on product development needs. WHY JOIN US? WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE Relevant educational degree in Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering or equivalent Strong knowledge and understanding of power conversion topologies, switching devices, control methods, PCB design, thermal design and EMC design Ability to mentor colleagues and guide decisions Interest in electric vehicle charging We appreciate strong track record in development of power conversion products Self-motivated with growth mindset As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
