Senior React Native Engineer (Expo)

We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to take full ownership of our client’s mobile application across both iOS and Android.

You will be responsible for the complete mobile product lifecycle, from architecture and technical decisions to feature development, performance, maintenance, and production releases.

This is an opportunity for an experienced mobile engineer who enjoys working independently, making high-impact technical decisions, and owning a product from idea to release.

What you will do:

• Take full ownership of the React Native and Expo application.
• Define and continuously improve the mobile architecture.
• Develop new mobile features from initial concept to production release.
• Maintain feature parity between the mobile and web platforms.
• Ensure excellent performance, reliability, stability, and user experience.
• Manage releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Integrate APIs, authentication systems, push notifications, analytics tools, and third-party SDKs.
• Handle bug fixing, refactoring, testing, and technical debt.
• Make independent technical decisions regarding the mobile codebase.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and web engineering teams.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong production experience with React Native.
• Experience building, maintaining, or scaling a product used by at least 100,000 monthly active users.
• Hands-on experience using Expo in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of React and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable mobile application architectures.
• Proven experience shipping and maintaining applications for both iOS and Android.
• Experience managing releases through App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
• Experience with APIs, authentication, push notifications, analytics, and native integrations.
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, maintainability, performance, and user experience.
• Ability to independently own technical decisions and deliver production-ready features.
• Excellent English communication skills.
