About the Role:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Analyst to work remotely and fill a critical role as part of our growing private lending platform. This position supports primarily loan underwriting, in addition to business development efforts and is designed for a highly motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and takes pride in producing accurate, thoughtful work. We are looking for someone with 3 to 5+ years of commercial real estate underwriting, commercial real estate lending, or principal-side investment experience who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute meaningfully across a fully integrated hard money lending platform. This is a senior-level role with direct exposure to live transactions, senior decision-makers, and the full real estate loan lifecycle. Candidates must have experience underwriting commercial real estate transactions. Strong commercial real estate valuation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Real Estate Underwriting and Credit Analysis
• Perform detailed underwriting of commercial and residential bridge loans secured by multifamily, industrial, retail, office and residential properties
• Analyze rent rolls, property-level cash flow, guarantor financial strength, and business plans to assess credit risk and repayment capacity.
• Analyze commercial property valuation using income capitalization and sales comparison methods • Evaluate lease structures, tenant quality, market rents, and occupancy trends
• Assess bridge loan exit strategies involving value-add, lease-up and mid-construction completion scenarios
• Conduct sensitivity and downside analysis to evaluate collateral protection and principal recovery in downside scenarios
• Prepare clear and concise underwriting summaries and internal credit memoranda
• Assist with post-closing asset monitoring, extensions, modifications, and payoff analysis
Required Qualifications
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in underwriting commercial real estate loans or investments
• Willingness and ability to work consistent US business hours (Pacific Time)
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals including valuation, cash flow analysis, and loan structures
• Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy and completeness
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis
• Prior experience working remotely with a US-based team preferred
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as a commercial banker
• Experience in private lending, hard money lending, bridge loans, or construction lending
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
• Experience supporting business development or transaction teams
• Exposure to US real estate markets
• Background working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization
