Job Responsibilities The Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst works within the regulatory reporting department and is involved in the day-to-day management of compliance within the insurance regulatory systems. biBerk provides insurance to small businesses in all 50 states, each with their own regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for the following functions: Collecting data from various company systems Preparation of data for submission to rating bureaus or state departments of insurance, which includes: scanning data for errors, communication with other departments within the company regarding any issues, preparing a final data file, proposing changes to prevent future errors from occurring Submission of data to rating bureaus or state departments of insurance Interaction with rating bureaus or state departments of insurance including: responding to questions about the data, retrieving Error Reports from the insurance bureaus websites, fixing errors found by the rating bureaus, departments of insurance, or as requested by management Liaison between all third parties involved in the THREE WCPOLS reporting process to ensure issues are resolved (this includes knowledge of the systems of record used by THREE) Provide guidance to other team members for processing WCPOLS, WCSTAT reporting and corrections to NCCI and all state bureaus and agencies. Display leadership in helping to educate other Team Members by demonstrating examples of how to solve a problem (don’t just tell them what to do—show them how to do it) Ensure all departmental procedures are up to date Assist in the generation of management reports, as needed Other duties, as required Requirements Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel (apply/remove filters and sorting data is critical) A bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a related degree An obsession with detail and inability to let problems grow, regardless of their magnitude Willingness to perform additional duties, as required Ability to follow instructions (training will be provided) Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management Ability to multi-task with multiple systems/applications open simultaneously Demonstrates the need to ask questions for clarity when something isn’t clear About Us biBerk is where commercial insurance buyers can obtain coverage for their businesses from insurers of the Berkshire Hathaway group of Insurance Companies, one of the best capitalized insurance groups in the world.
