THE JOB

As a Senior Release Quality Engineer, you will serve as a critical gatekeeper for our platform’s quality, data integrity, and production readiness.

This is a highly visible position with direct executive exposure. Beyond standard validation, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional leads and executive leadership—including assisting with technical preparation for high-stakes product demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive & Stakeholder Alignment: Work directly with Engineering, Product, and executive leadership to ensure platform stability, including preparing environments and workflows for critical stakeholder demonstrations.
• Release Ownership: Own end-to-end validation across Development, QA, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
• Complex Data & Functional Validation: Conduct rigorous functional, regression, integration, and data testing, ensuring absolute accuracy in financial calculations, reporting, and automated workflows.
• Defect Management & Risk Mitigation: Identify, document, and prioritize technical discrepancies; communicate risk assessments clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Process Leadership: Establish standardized release gates, repeatable testing protocols, and validation frameworks to elevate platform-wide software quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively audit and refine testing workflows, tools, and cross-team deployment practices.

Requirements

• Domain Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or 5+ years of dedicated experience in software quality engineering and release validation.
• Technical Mastery: Deep experience validating web applications, APIs, complex data integration workflows, and business logic across multi-tier deployment environments.
• Analytical Precision: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong ability to conduct root-cause analysis on data discrepancies and system edge cases.
• Stakeholder Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to articulate risks and present findings to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in FinTech, financial markets, real estate technology, or data-intensive domains.
• Familiarity with financial data structures, complex calculation validation, and executive dashboard reporting.
• Technical comfort with APIs, relational databases, SQL queries, and structured/unstructured datasets (JSON, XML).
• Exposure to test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platform environments.
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
