About the Role: The Senior Retail Buyer is responsible for developing and executing merchandise assortments that elevate retail experience across Unrivaled Sports’ portfolio of youth sports destinations, e-commerce, and event-based retail. The ideal candidate is a strategic merchant with strong analytical skills, omnichannel buying experience, and a passion for identifying trends and products that resonate with athletes, families, and fans. Location: This is a remote position, however, heavy preference for east-coast based candidates. Key Responsibilities Develop seasonal and event-specific co-branded merchandise assortments across apparel, headwear, accessories and novelty. Manage product development, purchasing, pricing, and inventory across multiple venues, ecommerce, and special events. Identify emerging trends, new brands, and product opportunities to continually evolve the merchandise offering. Own the day-to-day administration and optimization of the Shopify storefront. Build and maintain product listings, collections, promotions, landing pages, and site content. Collaborate with Marketing and Retail Operations to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal initiatives. Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, sell-through, margin, and customer demand to optimize buying decisions. Monitor inventory health and recommend replenishment, transfers, markdowns, and exit strategies to maximize profitability. Support new venue openings, retail initiatives, and special merchandising projects as the business continues to expand. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field. 6+ years of progressive retail buying or merchandising experience, with a proven track record of driving sales, margin, and inventory performance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong strategic thinking and adaptability. Advanced analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets to inform assortment, inventory, and financial decisions. Strong understanding of product development, omnichannel retail strategy, and multi-channel execution across brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, and event-based retail. Demonstrated ability to leverage sales insights, market trends, and financial metrics to optimize product assortments and business performance. Exceptional organizational, communication, and cross-functional project management skills. Experience with Shopify and managing retail operations across multiple locations.
