Senior Risk Control Surveyor

Our Loss Control Engineering team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines. The team provides a flexible range of risk consulting services. This is a home based role, which includes travel across the United Kingdom, with occasional overnight stays. We are looking for a Senior Loss Control Engineer, having a focus on Property, Business Interruption, Natural Hazards and Casualty. The successful candidate will have access to a tailor made learning and development programme, so those still developing their skillset and / or progressing with their professional studies will be considered. The primary requirements are: to undertake risk control surveys, both remotely and on site. Engaging directly with the customer, you will determine if the hazards associated with the trade are adequately managed, negotiate any risk improvements and produce reports within agreed quality and service standards. Learning, development and training for internal colleagues and other stakeholders. This may include formal presentations or informal discussions whilst attending risk control surveys. Other areas of the role include appropriate collaboration and support for other business areas, and dealing with technical referrals from internal and external customers. Full training will be provided which incorporates a fully supported programme designed around your current knowledge and skill set.  Upon completion you will have achieved your NEBOSH General, along with relevant Allianz Global Risk Engineering and Consulting training certifications.  Upon completion of any initial training, support is also provided for you to pursue other relevant professional qualifications, e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, IFE, IRM. Salary Information Pay: Circa £60,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. About You Sense of commercial judgement and business acumen. Organised and articulate with an attention to detail. Highly proactive approach to personal development, service delivery and ability to demonstrate positive behaviour. The ability to assess risk, the exposure it presents and the application of appropriate loss control measures. Excellent interpersonal skills. Essential Skills ACII qualified, other risk management qualification, such as NEBOSH General, IFE or IRM. You could be working towards these qualifications. Experience working as a Risk Control Surveyor Able to travel across the UK. Full UK Driver’s License.
