Senior Ruby & Ruby on Rails Engineer at BairesDev

As a Senior Ruby & Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will drive the development and architecture of scalable web applications. You will be responsible for delivering clean, high-performance code, ensuring database efficiency, and establishing robust system integrations to meet demanding reliability and SLA standards.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build scalable, highly optimized web applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Design, optimize, and manage complex database schemas to ensure maximum performance and query efficiency.
• Establish robust automated testing suites using unit and integration testing methodologies to guarantee high software quality.
• Develop and maintain reliable data feeds and ingestion pipelines with external partners.
• Ensure near-zero downtime and drive platform reliability by actively participating in an on-call support schedule.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Ruby development, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong proficiency in database design and query optimization with PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing as well as data feed integration.
• Demonstrated ability to drive platform reliability and participate in an on-call support schedule.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
