About the Role

The Senior Salesforce Administrator owns the health, performance, and continuous evolution of our core business applications, primarily our Salesforce CRM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) environment. This is a senior, hands-on role for a rigorous builder who treats system administration as a discipline of optimization and control.

You will act as the bridge between business vision and scalable system design, ensuring that every enhancement strengthens our 360-degree view of the customer while holding the line on compliance, data quality, and AI-assisted operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Optimization

• Serve as the primary administrator and technical owner for Salesforce CRM and our enterprise PSA platform.
• Design, build, and maintain platform configuration, custom data models, and complex automation (Flows) to eliminate friction and scale operations.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability against defined KPIs.

Governance & Release Management

• Maintain a disciplined sandbox architecture, version control, and release practice with auditable histories.
• Manage user access, roles, profiles, and permission sets under a strict least-privilege model.
• Apply structured change management to the full development lifecycle (intake, design, build, test, UAT, and deployment).

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Partner with executive stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Lead technical steering discussions, communicating tradeoffs and risks clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Direct and quality-check the work of offshore consultants and third-party delivery partners, ensuring adherence to internal code and configuration standards.

AI-Assisted Engineering & Innovation

• Actively use AI tools (specifically Claude) to accelerate solution design, generate/review configuration, build test cases, and write technical documentation.
• Champion responsible, governed AI adoption across the business systems team.
• Run controlled pilots for emerging Salesforce features and AppExchange tools before enterprise rollout.

Compliance & Security

• Ensure system configurations adhere to strict regulatory requirements and enterprise control frameworks (e.g., SOX, SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Partner with IT Security on data protection, access certification, and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, with demonstrated ownership of a complex enterprise org.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce configuration, advanced Flow automation, data management, and the Salesforce security model.
• Proven proficiency using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for real-world development, testing, and system optimization.
• Experience managing third-party delivery partners or offshore development teams.
• Strong practical understanding of data governance, release management, and operating under compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Certifications: Administrator, Advanced Administrator, and/or Platform App Builder.
• Experience building custom UIs in Salesforce using low-code tools (Lightning App Builder, Screen Flows) or familiarity with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Prior experience administering enterprise Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms.
• Familiarity with integration patterns, REST APIs, and data pipelines connecting core business systems.
• Hands-on experience supporting IT audits and managing segregation of duties in regulated environments (SOX/SOC 2).
