Senior Salesforce IT Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a Senior Salesforce IT Engineer to play a critical role in shaping and advancing our global Salesforce ecosystem. This position combines deep technical expertise, solution ownership, and business partnership to deliver innovative capabilities that empower sales teams worldwide. As a senior member of the Sales IT organization, you will serve as a trusted technology advisor, lead complex initiatives, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across the Salesforce platform. You will work closely with sales leaders, business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and external partners to accelerate digital transformation, improve commercial effectiveness, and unlock the value of AI-enabled sales processes. Key Responsibilities Salesforce Solution Delivery Design, configure, develop, and optimize Salesforce Sales Cloud solutions supporting global sales organizations. Lead the implementation of complex enhancements across lead management, account management, opportunity management, forecasting, territory management, quoting, and customer engagement processes. Translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable, and secure technical solutions. Drive solution design workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to define future-state capabilities. Technical Leadership Serve as the technical lead for Salesforce's Cloud initiatives and projects. Establish and promote development standards, best practices, and governance processes. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and design assessments. Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the Sales IT organization. Contribute to platform strategy and continuous improvement roadmaps. Integration & Data Management Lead integration initiatives connecting Salesforce with ERP, marketing automation, analytics, and external platforms. Design and support API-based integrations using modern integration patterns. Drive data quality, master data governance, and data stewardship initiatives. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data protection standards. AI & Automation Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce AI capabilities and intelligent automation to improve sales productivity. Support implementation of AI-powered lead scoring, opportunity insights, forecasting intelligence, and sales assistant technologies. Build and optimize automated workflows using Salesforce Flow and related automation tools. Evaluate emerging Salesforce innovations and recommend adoption opportunities. Agile Delivery & DevOps Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and estimation activities. Support Salesforce DevOps processes. Drive release management and deployment activities across environments. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong partnerships with sales, product owners, and business stakeholders. Translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical audiences. Manage priorities across multiple initiatives while balancing operational stability and innovation. Support organizational change management and user adoption activities. **Required Experience & Education** 7–10+ years of professional experience in enterprise CRM and Salesforce environments Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce Sales Cloud experience Proven experience leading medium-to-large Salesforce implementations in complex, multinational organizations Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline Demonstrated success delivering global Salesforce programs and collaborating with geographically distributed teams **Required Technical Expertise** *Salesforce Platform* Deep expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Lightning Experience, and declarative development Advanced proficiency in Apex development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and SOSL Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models, sharing models, user management, and data governance Hands-on experience with Salesforce Flow and custom objects *Integration & Data Management* Demonstrated expertise with REST and SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration design patterns Experience with middleware platforms (MuleSoft) Proficiency in data migration, ETL frameworks, and master data governance Strong understanding of API-based integration patterns and middleware technologies *DevOps & Engineering Practices* Hands-on experience with Git-based source control and automated testing frameworks Proficiency in release management, environment management, and Agile/Scrum methodologies Demonstrated expertise in system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization *Business & Analytical Skills* Strong business process analysis capabilities with understanding of sales operations, pipeline management, and forecasting Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities Proven stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical audiences **Required Certifications** Minimum one current Salesforce certification (Administrator, Developer, or Solutions Architect) **Preferred Qualifications** *Advanced Certifications* Multiple Salesforce certifications, including: Salesforce Advanced Administrator Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Salesforce Platform App Builder Salesforce Platform Developer I or II Salesforce AI Associate or AI Specialist *Additional Experience* Advanced expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, or other specialized modules Experience supporting global sales transformations and commercial process optimization Background in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system integration Exposure to AI-powered sales technologies and intelligent automation implementation Experience with IT governance, compliance frameworks, and security protocols *Education* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline Ready to drive with Continental?
